National Single Window

The National Single Window is the Tinubu administration's answer to the paperwork and delays that have long burdened Nigerian trade. It brings importers, exporters and government agencies onto one shared digital platform.

The system connects the agencies involved in trade, cuts duplication and gives businesses a single route through required procedures. Phase one went live in March 2026.

One platform for trade procedures

The National Single Window brings trade-related applications and documentation into a shared processing environment. Traders no longer need to submit the same information repeatedly to different agencies, and the agencies themselves coordinate more closely across the import and export process.

The first rollout phase covers selected permits, licences and certificates, with cargo-manifest integration following in planned phases. Each regulatory agency keeps its responsibilities while information and applications now move through one coordinated system between government and the trader.

A modern trade system in delivery

The official trade information portal confirms the go-live of phase one in March 2026. The rollout includes agency procedures, user profiles, training and technical integration, building a complete digital trade environment step by step.
