For elections administered by INEC, only INEC's authorised returning officers can declare the official result and return a winner. The council and this website have no such authority. For local elections administered by another competent electoral commission, consult that commission's official declaration.

Reference records and council reports

Candidate names, parties and seats come from the supplied INEC reference dataset. Ages and qualifications reflect the source record, not a continuously updated biography. Source omissions and remarks are retained. A named constituency does not establish its detailed ward or polling-unit boundary.

Election intelligence presents council reporting coverage and current verified council reports. Verification means review within this platform, not certification by INEC. Missing reports, delayed uploads and corrections can change totals. Completion percentages describe reporting, not the likelihood of victory. Do not represent council totals, charts or sheets as official declarations.

Events and media

Published events describe the campaign programme announced by the council. Check the latest event record before travelling because dates, access arrangements and venues may be updated. Archive photographs are not evidence that a newly listed event occurred. News, galleries and videos are published separately.
