Tell us what needs correction

Send the affected page address, the specific detail you believe is wrong and a supporting source through the contact page. For a council profile, identify whether the issue concerns the name, appointment, public office, biography or photograph. You do not need to provide unrelated personal information.

Candidate and party records

Reference information is imported from a stated source. A newer official record can support an update, but an unsourced assertion should not silently replace the existing record. Source omissions are shown as unavailable rather than invented. Age and qualifications describe the source record and may not represent a person's current circumstances.

Portrait corrections

If a photograph identifies the wrong person, include the profile link and a source that confirms the correct identity. Editors can remove or replace the image while retaining the original source record. A person appearing in several council appointments may share the same verified portrait across those appointments without merging their roles.

Election reporting corrections

Result corrections require the authorised submission and review workflow. Provide the election year, contest, polling-unit code and report reference where known. Do not send private result sheets through a public comment or publish a restricted download link. A corrected submission remains linked to its earlier revision so that the review history is accountable.

Review and outcome

The team assesses the supplied information and may request clarification. A request does not guarantee an immediate change, but a verified error should be corrected in the relevant record. Where a public statement materially changes, the update should explain the correction without unnecessarily repeating harmful or private content. This process does not replace the competent electoral authority's formal procedures.
