Editorial Standards
Purpose and responsibility
APC Presidential Campaign publishes council information, campaign announcements, news and media. The campaign council is responsible for its operations; this site is not an INEC publication. Editorial work should distinguish a sourced fact, a council announcement and a statement attributed to another person.
Sources and identities
Appointments should retain the supplied roster context. Biographies require sources, and photographs require a reliable match to the named individual. A search-result thumbnail or matching surname alone is not enough. Collective appointments must not be illustrated with an assumed representative. Candidate records preserve their source year and available fields; importing them into a working cycle does not establish a fresh nomination.
Dates, captions and event status
Use the actual event date where verified and keep it distinct from publication time. Clearly distinguish upcoming activities from completed events. Captions must not present archive imagery as documentation of a new engagement. A portrait used with a news report should be identified as a portrait when it is not a photograph of that event.
Media and privacy
Only publish media that has passed the appropriate editorial and privacy review. Public gallery material and private incident or result evidence are separate records. Uploading an attachment does not automatically authorise its use in campaign publicity. Avoid publishing unnecessary personal details, private contact information or material that creates avoidable risk.
Corrections and review
Check names, offices, quotations, dates, links and image identity before publication. A correction should address the affected record and preserve meaningful context. Material changes to a published account should be explained where needed. The contact page accepts editorial concerns; private operational evidence belongs in the authorised review workflow.
