Improving the foundation of learning

UBEC’s school-improvement initiative works with the Federal Ministry of Education to support basic education. The programme combines resources for selected schools with attention to the people and systems responsible for classroom learning. It addresses the stage at which literacy, numeracy and later educational participation are established.

The official launch account distinguishes resources already disbursed to beneficiary schools from additional projects planned for implementation. That distinction is essential: a school receiving improvement funding is not the same as a completed project, and a national programme announcement does not establish identical delivery in every community.
