His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON

Kashim Shettima is Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. His career has included banking, state administration and service in the National Assembly before his election to the vice presidency.

Shettima served two terms as Governor of Borno State. Following eight years in that office, he represented Borno Central in the Senate, extending his public service from state executive leadership to national legislation.

As Vice President, he chairs the National Economic Council and undertakes responsibilities assigned within the federal executive.
