Rt. Honourable Tajudeen Abbas, GCON

Tajudeen Abbas is Speaker of the House of Representatives and represents Zaria Federal Constituency in Kaduna State. He was elected Speaker on 13 June 2023 after several terms in the House.

Before his parliamentary career, Abbas worked in education, including teaching and lecturing. His academic background includes studies at Ahmadu Bello University and a doctorate from Usmanu Danfodiyo University. He taught at institutions including Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic and Kaduna State University.

Abbas first entered the House of Representatives in 2011 and was subsequently re-elected by his constituency. His public career connects education with legislative work. His office as Speaker and his appointment in the Presidential Campaign Council are presented separately to distinguish parliamentary authority from campaign responsibilities.
