His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR

Bola Ahmed Tinubu became President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on 29 May 2023. His public career spans legislative service, state government and national party organisation.

Before entering politics, he trained and worked in accounting. His professional career included service at Mobil, where he held a senior treasury position. This financial background preceded his election to public office.

Tinubu served as Governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007. He subsequently remained active in opposition politics and in the formation of the All Progressives Congress. His presidential office is distinct from his appointment as Chairman of the Presidential Campaign Council, which is recorded separately in this directory.
